• Parents: Conflicting information. Paul Beckwith identified his parents as Daniel Beckwith and Ruth Royce. However, there is no data to support this link.

The East Lyme Society and Joshua Hempstead Diary indicate he was a son of Joseph as shown.

• Family History: From The Beckwiths by Paul Beckwith, Page 78 NEEDS TO BE VERIFIED. Daniel Beckwith, 560, born at Lyme, Ct., October 26, 1704; farmer and Baptist minister; died November 10, 1763; married Miriam Smith, November 13, 1740; she moved to Marlow, N. H., in 1765, and died there March 7, 1809; she was born in 1721.

570. Eleazor; born at Lyme, Ct., in 1741; he was a Baptist minister in good standing and, also, a farmer; he died April 16, 1808; married Hannah Lewis, who was born in 1743, and died August 16, 1823.

572. Elizabeth; married Richard Lampshire of Lyme and died in 1814.

• Family History: From Beckwith Note Number 6, Page 14. 79 DANIEL (Joseph, Nathaniel), born at Lyme , between 1710 and 1720, perhaps; in 1740 married MIRIAM SMITH , (parents yet to find); named in his father's will (1746) as executor; died later than 1762. His widow went about 1781 with her eldest son to Marlow, in lower New Hampshire, where she died March 17, 1809, aged 88 years.
