HANNAH, born New London, CT say 1699; died New London March 1737/8, "George Chappels Wife was buried after meeting 30 odd years of age the Daughter of John Beckwith. She hath been declining over a year" (Hempstead Diary, dated 5 March 1737/8, p-331); perhaps the Hannah Chappel who confessed incontinency before marriage (ibid., p.325); married New London 5 November 1718 (NL Ch 1:164) GEORGE CHAPPELL.

Children, perhaps not the mother of #5 and #6, surname Chappell:

• Death: Joshua Hempstead Diary Records, Connecticut Historical Society, 5 Mar 1738, Lyme, New London, Connecticut. Sund 5 Mar 1738 George Chappels Wife was buried after meeting 30 odd years of age the Daughter of John Beckwith. She hath been declining over a year.

Hannah married George Chappell on 5 Nov 1718 in New London, Connecticut.
