Frederick H. Stevenson.

The death of Frederick H. Stevenson, 77, of this city occurred today at the home of his son, George H. Stevenson in Rochester. Mr. Stevenson was born in this city June 2, 1851 and had resided here at 7 Varick street until a short time before his death. He was employed at the Wright & Hans feed store for many years and later worked in the Oswego starch factory box shop.

Mr. Stevenson was a man of character and was well liked by all who knew him. His passing will be sincerely mourned by his friends.

Surviving are his wife, Laura Goodnow Stevenson, one son, George H. Stevenson, and one daughter, Mrs. Robert Macdonald, of Manlius, N.Y. Also three grandchildren, Grace Stevenson of Rochester, Janet and Robert Macdonald, Jr., of Manlius, and a brother, Frank Stevenson, West Fifth Street road, Oswego.

The funeral will take place at the home of his niece, Mrs. Andrew J. Penfield, Saturday, June 30. The hour of the funeral will be announced later.

The funeral of Frederick H. Stevenson, who died in Rochester June 28, took place this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home of his niece, Mrs. A. J. Penfield, 272 West Fifth street, the Rev. A. J. Judd officiating. The bearers were friends of the family. Burial was made in the family plot at Rural cemetery.
